Sponsor
The first step in the process is to find a member (for a list of our current members, go here) who is willing to sponsor you. This person presents you to the Catenae and helps you to voice your qualifications. Working with your sponsor, you will form a resume that will be sent to the Catenae along with comments by the sponsor.
In the resume you should list the following information about chaining.
Training, including Loovma Geer and anything major that helps you to chain
Positive and negative experiences with chaining
Outlook on important issues (chain breaks, frivolous chaining, etc.)
Skill, dedication, and competence w/ examples
Evaluator
After reviewing your resume, an evaluator will be chosen at random. He will be responsible for validating or rejecting your qualifications with a substantial report. For several zodiacs the evaluator will be responsible for monitoring your chaining. It is a good idea to spend time with your evaluator on hunts, rescues, etc. You must keep a list of others who have witnessed your chaining recently. First and second hand accounts are valid as evidence for any final decision. When the evaluation period is over, your evaluator will either recommend you to the guild or not. If you find your evaluator's decision to be unsatisfactory you may appeal to your original sponsor. He may choose to request a new evaluator and a repeat evaluation. Any and all evaluations will be sent to the guild for review before the final vote takes place.
Vote
The resume and the evaluation report(s) will serve to educate members before they vote. The vote consists of a poll with "Yes" and "No" as the only two options. A minimum of 6 members must participate in the poll in order for the vote to be counted. 60% or more of the voting group must vote "Yes" for you to be accepted. If you are rejected you must wait 6 puddlemonths until you can reapply for membership.
